Last updated: March 9, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Amodal platform, APIs, SDKs, documentation, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Amodal provides a conversational AI platform that enables developers to embed AI capabilities into their applications. The Service includes the chat widget SDK, API server, admin panel, knowledge base management, and related tools.
3. Accounts and Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service to transmit harmful, abusive, or objectionable content
- Exceed the rate limits or usage quotas for your plan
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
5. Data and Privacy
You retain ownership of all data you provide to the Service ("Your Data"). By using the Service, you grant Amodal a limited license to process Your Data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Billing and Payment
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected during signup. Usage-based charges (message overages) are billed at the end of each billing period. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.
7. Service Level
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance that results in temporary downtime with reasonable notice. Enterprise plans include SLA commitments as specified in the applicable order form.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by Amodal, Inc. and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Service. You retain all rights to your applications and data.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amodal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will make your data available for export for 30 days following termination, after which it may be deleted.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
